Aparthotel Costazul situated in the leafy suburb known as “Villa Panamericana”, close to the picturesque fishing village of Cojimar, this complex of hotels, bars, shops and restaurants was built some 16 years ago for athletes taking part in the Panamerican games.
The accommodation itself consists of apartments with 2/3 bedrooms each with air conditioning, bathroom, kitchen with sink and a large fridge, a living room with balcony.
The standard is basic but clean and the rooms are serviced daily.

Each apartment costs 40 US dollars per night. If you share (up to 4 persons per apartment) the cost is divided accordingly.
Payment for accommodation is made direct to the hotel on arrival.

Travel

For those booking the suggested group flight through Ryedale Travel (our recommended travel agents) £450 - £600 (including taxes) depending on availability and date of booking plus £15 for tourist visa.

Those travelling on the suggested flights will be met at the airport. For those who wish to make their own arrangements a taxi from Jose Marti airport to Villa Panamericana will cost around $20 usd.

There is also a $25 usd airport tax due when departing from Havana.

Excursions
Trips to the beach, the waterfalls at Soroa and nights out in Havana are optional and organised according to demand.
Charges for transport and entrance fees are shared between the participating students.
See course itinerary  for details.

Funding
Some past participants have received funding from their regional arts council or lottery schemes.
There are also several independent trusts that will fund this kind of activity.

It depends very much on your reasons for attending the course, your professional status and/or if you intend to use your gained knowledge for the benefit of your community when you return.

It may well be worth investigating this avenue further and we will be happy to assist if you need anything in writing from us to support your application.
However you should not presume you will be eligible for funding.
